PDP Upholds Fayose’s Election As Party Candidate For Ekiti Election

Following last Saturday's primaries that produced ex-governor Ayo Fayose as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the June 21 Ekiti State governorship elections, the national leadership of the party yesterday declared amid protests from other aspirants, that Fayose remains PDP flag bearer for the highly anticipated poll.

A statement yesterday by National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said, "The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received the report of the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Electoral Committee.

"After thorough consideration of the report, the NWC approved the result and upheld the nomination of Ayo Fayose as the candidate of the PDP for the June 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State.

"The NWC commended the committee for the conduct of a peaceful and transparent exercise and urged all PDP members in the state, including the other aspirants to support the candidate of the party to ensure a successful outing at the guber election".

It would be recalled that 13 out of the 14 aspirants contesting for the sole ticket of PDP were clamouring for consensus but Fayose insisted that there must be primary election to test popularity of the aspirants and he eventually won.

However, the aspirants have faulted the process that threw up the ex-governor as PDP flag-bearer, with most of them alleging that it was manipulated in his favor, therefore, they called for the cancelation of the primary election and the adoption of a consensus candidate.

Reacting to the party's position, Fayose, who spoke through his aide, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, once more pleaded with those who lost out to put behind them issues before the primary and bury the hatchet, just as he urged them to join hands with him for the success of the party.

He said, "I wish to thank the PDP leadership and Mr. President for providing we the aspirants a level playground. I thank the party leadership for upholding my nomination. I promised with God helping me, I will deliver Ekiti State to PDP.

"To those who lost, am appealing to them to bury the hatchet and put the primary behind and lets work together for the party to win. The PDP umbrella is very wide and accomodating. I can assure them that nobody will lose and I will not victimise anybody. The interest of the party is far above any personal interest".

Student In Prison Custody Over Underage Teen Rape

A 19-year-old student, Fidelis Ojor, was remanded in Keffi Prison by an Abuja Senior Magistrates' Court in Karu, FCT on Wednesday.

Ojor is charged with the attempted rape of a minor as he lured a three-year-old girl into his house where he attempted to defy her.

The case was reported to the police on Jan. 21 by Mr Chibueze Okereke, the girl's father.

The man further alleged that the accused forcefully inserted his finger into the girl's private part, leaving her with bruises and severe pains.

The offence contravened section 285 of the Penal Code, which prescribed a seven-year jail term for attempted rape if found guilty.

The defender, Egbaji, asked for bail, stating that "the accused is a promising young man, who has unfortunately become a victim of this allegation''.

For its part the prosecutor, Sgt. Bulus Samuel, objected to the application saying that offences bordering on rape were not ordinarily bailable.

He also highlighted that the case was under investigation as the police were still waiting for victim's medical test results.

Sgt. Bulus Samuel assumed that granting the accused bail could affect the investigation.

He said, "We are not magicians to fabricate facts."

However, Ojor, who lives behind Gowon Barracks, Abuja, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor re-arrested the accused, who was in police custody for more than 2 weeks, before he was brought to this court on Wednesday.

It's became known that the accused had earlier been arraigned on the same matter at the Upper Area Court in Karu and the prosecutor applied for withdrawal of the case which was granted.

Court Declares FRSC’s New Number Plates Illegal

Federal Road Safety Commission's threat to impound vehicles come October 1 might not just happen any more, after a Federal High Court in Lagos this morning declared the new number plates illegal, saying it's unconstitutional.

The judge said; that it was unlawful for the commission to impose the new number plates on Nigerians, where no existing law permitted it.

The suit was filed by Emmanuel Ofoegbu, a lawyer, against FRSC after they insisted every Nigerian must get the plate number, or have their vehicles impounded as from the 1st of October, 2014.

One month old Baby burnt to death

A baby girl of one month old has been burnt to death in a fire outbreak that occurred in Rafin Zurfi area of Bauchi metropolis.

It was learnt that mother of the infant left the baby named Mirabel in custody of her sister in their house in Arewa House.

Edmond Chukwu a trader and his wife went to church that fateful day leaving the infant and three of their children in the care of one Suzan, a relative.

In his own account of the incident, Edmond, a father of six, said that at the time of rescuing the children, the neighbours did not know the baby was in the room sleeping.

The fire started at about 7: 45 pm on Monday in Edmond's apartment where three little children were playing with a candle.

According to a tenant, the children were playing with a candle and one of them bumped into it without realising the damage.

The witness said , "unknown to Suzan who was outside cooking, the candle became an object for the kids to play with. She called out to one of them and he left the younger ones inside not knowing that he had knocked down the candle from its stand unto the pillow. This resulted to the fire incident that consumed the whole building."

According to a neighbour, Aminu Micah, Edmond's children were rescued, but nobody told the team of rescuers that there was a baby in the room.

"It was a painful to discover that a baby was burnt to death in the room. The baby could have been saved. I brought out two children alive and one woman assisted me to bring the third child out, but I did not know there was a baby inside"

Edmond said the baby Mirable was brougth to his wife by her sister who he said went to get travelled in search of job.

"She has been crying since the incident. It is sad"
Efforts to get the parents of Mirable to talk failed as the father of the dead baby refused to comment on telephone. He said his wife was too traumatised by the death of their baby and would not want to talk.
However, a tenant who pleaded anonymity said Mirable's mother was negligent.

"How could a mother leave a one month old baby to another woman? To me it is gross negligence and she needs to be arrested. There is a lot of information we are not getting on this whole drama yet. We even understand that she left the baby with her sister and travelled to look for a job. So there is something fishing"

According to a tenant, "Suzan opened the door and saw that half of the room was already engulfed with fire with her siblings trapped inside the room.

She raised an alarm that brought the neighbours running with buckets of water and sand in other to put out the fire but the fire spread to other rooms.

Senate Confirms Emefiele's Appointment As New CBN Governor

The Senate has confirmed today the appointment of the new Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele.

Emefiele will replace Lamido Sanusi, who was suspended by President Goodluck Jonathan on charges of "financial recklessness and misconduct", while some are sure the case was politicized.

The appointment was approved unanimously, after which the Senate president David Mark said:

"Emefiele will ensure the prerequisite responsibilities of the central bank governor without fear or favour."

It would be recalled that Sanusi was suspended soon after he had accused the state-owned oil company of corruption, which statement contained in the leaked letter.

His suspension came just several months before the legal end of his 5-year-term (June).

Zenith Bank boss Emefiele's emergence as a candidate became surprising for the market watchers who said he was a low-profile, conservative figure who was unlikely to rock the boat.

Former Minister Dora Akunyili Is Seriously Sick Yet Doctors Can't Find Anything

Former minister of Information, Dora Akunyili, is seriously sick and under close medical supervision. Early in the year, it was reported that Madam Akunyili was suffering severe health challenges and was flown abroad for treatment. There were also reports that her husband, Chike Akunyili, had confirmed she was ill.

Her husband, Mr Akunyili, tried to downplay the issue. He had said:

"Yes, she suffered some minor health challenges but she is now okay. She is in the United States. I spoke with her today. What happened was that our son said she should come over and rest. You know all our children are abroad. She will soon return to the country and we will show up in a public gathering.

There is a couple that wants us to sponsor their wedding. Both of us will appear in public. She is now okay."

But members of their family are saying her situation is now getting critical...

Madam Akunyili, who did a good job in NAFADAC, fighting her Igbo brothers who are into fake drugs biz, has not been seen in any public event since November 16, 2013. Some of them threatened her openly then.

According to a relative of Mrs Akunyili, who spoke on condition of anonymity, she is currently having serious health challenges. The source said she has been flown to India for treatment but after series of medical tests, the doctors couldn't diagnose the ailment.

"We are deeply concerned about our sister (Prof. Akunyili), her illness defies medical intervention," the family source said. "She has been to India, the doctors could not diagnose her illness. She has visited Pastor Adeboye and yet her illness persists. This is worrisome, and distressing."

Another source who visited her in her home in Abuja confirmed that Dora Akunyili's health is deteriorating.

Company Offers James Bond Fans “007 Holiday” for a Whopping $800,000

If you're a James Bond fan and you have $800,000 to spare, this is the perfect vacation for you. The 007-themed 21-day, seven-country luxury tour could have you living a life straight out of a Bond movie. The package includes luxury hotels, private jets, sports cars, casino stops, speedboats and three-star gourmet meals. The tour was announced last Thursday by luxury goods and services website VeryFirstTo.com.

The premium action-packed vacation for two starts off in London. Subsequent destinations include Monte Carlo, Venice, Istanbul and special attractions in India and Thailand – locations that have all been featured in previous Bond movies. "The privileged purchasers will be staying at the finest hotels seen in the Bond films, often staying in the same hotel rooms," said Leija Graf from Select Collection, one of the organizers of the trip.

In London, the tour will begin at the Dorchester Hotel, which is where the opening scene of the new James Bond book, Solo, is set. Guests will be served a Martini masterclass, before being whisked away on a London 'Bond' tour in a Rolls-Royce. A private jet will then transport them to Nice, and from there a helicopter will transfer them to Monaco. A short limousine ride later, they will spend the night at Mertopole Hotel, one of the finest in the principality.

VIP passes are provided to the guests at Le Casino de Monte Carlo, which includes access to the Salons Privés where the game of Chemin de Fer, the original version of card game baccarat, is exclusively played.  An Aston Martin will take guests to Alpes Maritimes, after which they'll be switching to a Ferrari to recreate the car chase in the Golden Eye movie. A yacht tour of Venice is also on the itinerary, just like in Casino Royale.

In Turkey, guests will be put up at the Four Seasons in Istanbul. Walking tours of the rooftops of the Istanbul Bazaar are organized – reminiscent of Skyfall. In Thailand, a speedboat will transfer them to Pang Nga Bay, where a private 40-foot traditional Hong Kong boat named Sealion awaits. Koh Phing Kan, also known as James Bond Island, is also one of the destinations; it was featured in the film The Man with the Golden Gun. Here, guests will actually get to take part in a reenactment of the famous duel scene on the beach.

The last stop is the Goldeneye estate in Jamaica, where author Ian Fleming is known to have written the 14 Bond novels, on which the films are based. The estate is now a luxury hotel. According to Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Outpost that runs the estate, "They will have access to a vintage Bond car and be taken by helicopter and speedboat to all the spots featured in Dr No, including Crab Key and of course the setting of arguably the most famous Bond girl scene – Ursula Andress rising from the sea."

"Whichever couple purchases the trip will be living the Bond life for 21 exhilarating days in 7 countries that have hosted many of the iconic films," VeryFirstTo representatives announced, in a press release. "They will be traveling by private jet across the globe as well as playing in casinos, sipping martinis, experiencing the transportation made famous by Bond including speedboats, yachts, tuk-tuks and of course, cars including Ferrari and Aston Martin."

It's surprising that the company isn't expecting any legal trouble from the actual Bond franchise. But, since similar tours have been organized in the past, they believe that 'it won't be a problem.'

Labour threatens industrial action over unpaid ex-PHCN workers’ benefits

Organised labour in the nation's Electricity sector, has given the Federal Government March 26, (Tomorrow) to pay workers of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, their terminal benefits and other benefits to avoid industrial unrest.

Indication of mounting restiveness now pervades the sector as labour laments alleged increasing  breach of the  agreement reached between it and the Federal Government over the unpaid benefits among other issues.

Vanguard gathered that the Technical Committee jointly set up by the government and labour to monitor the level of payment of the benefits had long concluded its tour of the country and allegedly discovered that the claim of payment by officials of government especially the Bureau for Public Enterprises, BPE, was only done on papers, met with the Accountant General of the Federation last week.
It was gathered that the Accountant General promised that payment would begin this Wednesday.
Speaking on this development, Secretary General of the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, Joe Ajaero, said the union would give the government up till Wednesday (tomorrow) before deciding what to do.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti State Governor Fayemi accuses Jonathan of influencing Fayose’s victory

Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of foisting a former Governor Ayo Fayose on the Peoples Democratic Party as its governorship candidate with the aim of using him to unleash violence on the state ahead of the June 21 governorship poll.

The governor, who spoke in a statement issued on Monday by the spokesperson of his campaign organisation, Mr. Dimeji Daniels, said that the opposition party wanted to prepare the ground for rigging through violence.

Fayemi said that the President would be held responsible for any act of violence by his party's governorship candidate.

The governor, however, warned Fayose against violating the law saying he would face the wrath of the people if he caused violence in the state.

The statement read, "masterminding the emergence of the former Governor Ayo Fayose as the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Ekiti State shows clearly that the Jonathan presidency has no strategy other than violence for the June 21 governorship election in the state.

"Fayose was made to win the PDP primaries because of his anti-democratic credentials of violence, a clear pointer that the Presidency and the PDP have perfected strategies to rig the June 21 governorship election.

"What this means is that the Jonathan presidency and the PDP have no sense of history regarding Ekiti people. Ekiti people have been known to resist shady characters. This same man was sent packing with his tails between his legs by Ekiti people when it became apparent that he had no respect for human dignity.

"By throwing up Fayose again in a race that should involve decent people, the PDP is clearly spitting on the grave of Tunde Omojola, who on 28 May, 2005 was mowed down in Ifaki-Ekiti.

"The PDP is also spitting on the graves of Ijan Ekiti-born Dr. Ayo Daramola who was ruthlessly killed on 14 August 2006 because of his governorship ambition and the students of College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti whose lives were cut short on March 16, 2004."

Fayemi noted that with the case instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission against Fayose still in court, it would not be a surprise if Fayose eventually ran between his campaign office and various courtrooms where he was facing the charges of murder and corruption.

The governor also reacted to the allegation levelled against him by Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele, and described him as an inconsistent person who should be ignored.

But Fayose said that the governor was attacking him
because his emergence was causing confusion in the camp of the ruling party.

The former governor said that he remained unperturbed by allegations from Fayemi's camp adding that he would do the talking during the election.

Those who know the man say this is not the first time he would be doing such with young girls...

...the guy is just using his money and businessman status to "fire" young girls anyhow. O ga oo

"I wish My Husband were still alive,he was highly supportive of my career" - Actress Patience Ozokwor

Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor who is known for her very tough roles in movies showed a softer side in this new interview with Sun. The 56-year old actress…(who doesn't look 56 even for a second!) shared the story of her husband, her inlaws and her love for kids which drove her to adopt 5 more children in addition to her own biological 3 kids.

The interview showed that Mama G, as she is popularly called, is an entirely different person from the roles she portrays in movies.

Read the interview below: -

How do you feel about all your achievements as an actress?

Stardom has taking me to so many countries in the world. I have been able to meet presidents of different nations. And I appreciate the fact that people commend and appreciate my acting skills whenever they meet me anywhere in Nigeria and outside the country, which gives me a great pleasure and ability to work harder, knowing that I have fans all over the world is worth celebrating.

How has Nollywood helped to transform Nigeria?
Our movies have been able to affect people's lives as well as make them happy. In fact, Nollywood has transformed Nigeria's image abroad positively and I am delighted to be part of this achievement.

Has your profession affected your life positively?
I have been able to assist my family financially through my work, my children were able to go to school and they are living a comfortable life with their families as graduates by the special grace of God. In fact, the movie industry has affected my life positively in every ramification and I don't have any regret being an actress and I give God all the glory.

Have you achieved all that you set out to achieve?
I have not yet achieved everything, personally there are things that I have in mind to do in the industry, but when I look back there is nobody yet qualified to take over the mantle from me. And I pray that God will raise someone that will be better than me, which will be a great achievement to have someone who will replace me, when I finally leave the industry.

Would you support any of your children to go into entertainment?

My second son is already into entertainment, he has a music record label. While my daughter ended up in the church drama. Though, my son acted in few movies before he left for the United Kingdom, hopefully he may do more in acting or movie directing in the future. And I will give him every encouragement if he decides to go into acting professionally, because he is passionate about entertainment.

While growing up did you ever think of becoming a movie star?

I have always been an entertainer from childhood, so getting to the level I have attained in the industry is by the grace of God, consistency and hard work.

Could you share some of the experiences you had in your early days as an actress that almost discouraged you?

During my early days, sometimes when I get to location with a script, they would tell me someone has taken my place, which was so disappointing. But I endured and believed God for mine, and He gave me what belongs to me. Today, God has celebrated me as an icon and I give God all the glory.

Your husband died in 2000, precisely 14 years ago, how is life as a widow?

God has always been on my side because without Him there is nothing we can do. Again, I lived in the village, maybe if I were living in the city, things would be happening to me and nobody will know what I was passing through. And my people in the village know that I am always on location working either in the eastern part of the country or Lagos and Abuja. But when I am not working you will see me in the comfort of my home in the village. I appreciate my people for all their love and peaceful co-existence which I am enjoying. My husband's family loves me so much, even before I became a star; we were so attached to each other. Everyone in the family calls me Patia; they are fond of me.

Are you saying you still live in the village?
I don't live in the city; I still live in my village. It is nice to live in the countryside where everyone is everybody's business. (Laughter).

Not minding the fact that you are a celebrity?

If you see the way people appreciate me in my village, whenever I go to the market to shop everyone will be calling me 'Mama G', 'Gee' for general, in fact, you will appreciate me more. But my office is located in Enugu town. So, I enjoy living in the village, my hometown. I still live my life of simplicity regardless of fame.

How do you manage to shuttle from the village to other parts of the country?

I have a guesthouse in Lagos where some of my jobs are concentrated like soaps, endorsements, commercials and shooting of movies. I have a three bedroom flat in Asaba. Because I am tired of staying in public hostels, some are sub-standard; and sometimes you run into small girls that you know. So, I decided to rent an apartment each in Lagos and Asaba for comfort. I have adopted children who I take on holidays, so because I would not like them to grow up in the village without being exposed to city life, when they are on long vocation and I am in Nigeria, I take them to Lagos or Asaba for a change of environment.

Your son had his wedding in the United Kingdom sometimes ago and your daughter also got married in Nigeria, how many children do you have?

I have three biological children. But because of my love for children, I adopted five other children who bear my name and I am very proud of them as my children. But I intend giving two among them to my younger sister to love as I have been doing. I am grateful to God for their lives, my son in-law and beautiful daughter-in-law I love you all.

Your late husband was supportive of your career, would you say you miss his presence now that you have hit stardom, especially being honoured with the Centenary award?

I wish my husband were alive to witness my Centenary award, because he was highly supportive of my career. Though, he was sick for a long time before he died, I wish he were still alive. But God knows the best. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

What did you really miss about him?

I miss the togetherness, when two people work together trying to train the children, bringing them up cin unity and love. And all the affection he showered on us. I miss the way he celebrated my children's birthdays, he was a true father and husband when he was alive. I miss my husband's companionship and love.

Have you ever acted any role related with your experience as a widow?

Of course, one or two things that happened to you as a widow will definitely come up in the movies, but I have not acted any widowhood role that has to do with my experience as a widow negatively. My in-laws have been very supportive and caring; we have always lived like one big family. I always visit them in the United Kingdom, United States of America and those in Nigeria are united in love with me. When my husband was hospitalized, my sister-in-law and I were taking care of him; she stayed with him at nights while I took over from her in the morning before going to location. On that fateful day, I was on location when my husband died, before my sister in-law arrived the hospital. Thereafter, they informed me about his death and they put him in the mortuary and asked me to continue with my job, because they understand my kind of job, but I blatantly refused. I took permission from the producer and stayed away for some days. I later came back to finish the production of the movie.

Tell us about your parents?

My parents were loving and caring, I miss them so much. My mother was a popular trader. I never had it rough as a child, I only had it rough when my husband fell sick, but my in-laws did not leave me, they took care of my husband's hospital bills. It's just that you don't have to wait for people to survive; instead you struggle to make life meaningful for yourself.

You are looking younger and beautiful even at your age, are you thinking about remarrying?

It is not about my look but my age. I am not thinking about remarrying. Since my husband died, I have been rearing my children to the glory of God. And I decided to occupy my mind on my job and service to God to give my children the best in life.

How old are you now?

I was born on March 25,1958, so do the calculation.

At 56, you are looking elegant. What is the secret behind your healthy look?

God is the secret behind my ageless look, and I also eat what my body needs, I take a lot of fruits and exercise when it's necessary. And most imperatively, I don't drink alcohol because I have realized that alcohol does a lot of damage to the body and makes you look older than your age.

Nollywood producers have stereotyped you with roles that make you get bad remarks, how have these roles affected your life?

I don't owe anybody any apology for the roles I play, because I get paid for them and it is my job. It is only people who don't understand that acting is make belief that perceive an actor to be living his or her life the way she acts on set. If I could read my script and interpret the role to get the best production, it means I understand acting.

Actress, Clarion Chukwura Reveals Why She Did Not Abort Her Son

Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwurah in a recent interview revealed why she did not abandon her top music director son, Clarence Peters.

The beautiful actress who once revealed she got pregnant at the age of 17 was pregnant for Top Nigerian Fuji musician, Sir Shina Peters and the product of that child is Clarence Peters.

The proud mother who doesn't hesitate to gush and praise her successful son at any opportunity she gets, reveals her reason for not aborting the pregnancy then:

"You know what? It is not because Clarence is successful today. Clarence knows the truth and those who are close to me know the truth. I didn't have Clarence because I was too helpless to get rid of his pregnancy. I had three sets of friends: there was Dr. Ojikutu. When I was in the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), he was ready to do it, free of charge. There was St. Lawrence in Ibadan and St. Jude here in Lagos.

But each time, I said no. I lost my father when I was 11 and he left a message that he was going to come back to me through my first kid.

So, when I got pregnant, it kept ringing in my head that my father was coming back to me. Even my ex- husband knew how much my father meant to me. It was on his 30th anniversary that I was able to let go of the hurt of his death. Having Clarence was deliberate. I just had the conviction that my father was coming back. And from when he was born, everyone calls him daddy, including my mum."

The Woman Who Mercy Johnson Stole Her Husband From Speaks Out

Lovely Okojie, former wife of Odianosen Okojie (Mercy Johnson's husband) in a new chat with Encomium says she has moved on after the debacle that saw the father of her two children move on with very popular actress, Mercy Johnson.

Lovely who is in her early 30s maintained the episode which made her husband go for another woman is now history.  She had maintained a deafening silence for long until Saturday, March 15, 2014, when she spoke with ENCOMIUM Weekly from her base in Canada.

"I have no explanation to anybody.  Life is full of ups and downs. I have accepted my fate."

How are the children doing now?

"The children are doing fine.  I thank God for them."
How have you been able to cope with the children's welfare?

"Like I said, I thank God. I am coping well."

But when Lovely was asked if her former husband (Odianosen Okojie) has been assisting in the children's upkeep, she got furious, insisting the man in question is in her history.

"What do you mean?  That is my past.  Don't ask me questions about my past.  I don't want to relate with my past.  In fact, I don't know what you are talking about," and the phone went off.

However, a source close to Lovely revealed to ENCOMIUM that she (Lovely) is still very much bitter about what happened to her marriage to Prince Okojie.

"She is still bitter.  She felt betrayed.  She is not thinking of another marriage now, she is yet to recover from the past experience."

Lovely came to public consciousness when she raised the alarm in 2011 that the man actress Mercy Johnson was planning to marry was actually her legal husband.  At this time, preparations towards the wedding was going on with the super star actress shopping for her wedding in Europe.

And when everything seemed to be going smoothly, Lovely dropped the bombshell with pictures of her marriage to Okojie to back up her claim.  There was a slight setback and when many had thought the setback would truncate the marriage plans, the lovebirds, Odia Okojie and Mercy Johnson presented a united front.  They were married at the Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Lagos on Saturday, August 27, 2011, amidst tight security.  The couple are now blessed with a child

Pastor Sam Adeyemi Says "A Woman Can Also Propose To A Man"

Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, while preaching on "Prepaper for the wedding", on Sunday March 16th, shared his opinion about women proposing to the man and also gave insight on how they can go about it. Below is what he said

"Some people may ask, Pastor is it okay for it to be the lady that will tell the guy about marriage? Well, is there anywhere in the bible that says a lady can't tell a man? The thing though is, a lot of time, it's better for the guy to pop the question because men become suspicious a lot of time when they are being chased.
They like to eat meat that they chased in the bush. They don't like the one that falls on their lap dead.

However., sometimes, all the signs are there that she is the one but he is not just speaking. Its also not healthy for the lady emotionally for the man to be so close to her and yet not say anything. So in such a case, a lady needs to prod him.

So how can a lady go about it? Ask him where are we going? I sense this is where the relationship is going, what do you think? Its either a yes or a no, but with that, you know where you are going instead of being on an emotional roller coaster and your heart is smashed into pieces at the end of the day".

Pastor Sam supported his position with the story of Ruth in the Bible who was taught to propose to Boaz whom she eventually married according to Ruth Chapter 3  in the Bible. He however emphasized the need for women to apply uttermost wisdom when proposing to a man.

Here is what Empress told a Vanguard reporter about marrying her colleague and getting richer than a man you are married too.

"I can't marry my colleague! Boring living in the same house with someone you know his job so well as well as his income. Naija Designer Emmy Collins Blasts Paul Okoye’s Wife, Anita Isama’s Outfit

Emmy collins the Designer also thrashed the photo Tuface used to wish wife, Annie a happy wedding anniversary, then he took on bleaching cream 'Whitenicious' owner Dencia.

Anita Isama:

Apparently Paul Okoye`s wifey is gorgeous. On the picture above she looks great in her traditional ensembles but the last dress fall my hand, kpomkwem! Sequins and big birdy fabric? Yeah, right. She was never gonna make it to the winners list on that one, mbanu.

Annie Idibia:

According the info I just received, this was the image of Annie idibia that Tuface, her husband, not an enemy or frenemy put up on Instagram congratulating her on their first year anniversary. I have recognised Tuface as a top artist in Naija but never as someone with class but even at that I would expect Tuface to recognise the raggedy-ness of this image and ensure that it never sees the light of the day. This is a razz as they come. Just look at the background behind this image and weep profusely for Annie and Tuface. Naija has the most rachet celebrities gang EVER.

Dencia:

Is she really not 30yrs old yet? If so then bleaching is really the ultimate bitch. She sure looks a few years older than Janet Jackson and she is already on the wrong side of 40. Regardless of what this chick wants us to believe, she appears to be having a tough life because you can`t be in your early 20s and look this old if you are living a honky dory sort of life.

How Prophet T.B. Joshua Delivers Two Notorious Lesbians At Synagogue Church Of All Nations

Prophet T.B. Joshua continued his noble cause of helping the people, when he listened to confession of two lesbians and delivered them at the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), live on Emmanuel TV on March 23, 2014, Sunday.

The girls how came in search for assistance said 'demons' were behind their lifestyle.

One of them, Maria Terese George (pictured), was brave enough to tell her full story to the congregation.
She was born in poor family in Delta State. Her poverty pushed her to seek help from an older lady.

One day a rich girlfriend took attractive 19-year-old Maria to a night club, where they started drinking.

After the party both friends returned home and the rich friend started touching Maria everywhere. The drunken girl responded, because she was not really in condition to understand what was going on.

The day after this drunken encounter, Maria had an unusual dream which she described as "a half-naked lady came to me in the dream and fed me with rice, stew and meat".

In the morning her affection for men disappeared, the young girl began admiring other females only.

"That was how the spirit of lesbianism entered me. I noticed that whenever I saw a female that was busty and curvy, I would always admire their features… I became a chronic lesbian," she admitted.

To make things worse, Maria's rich friend brought her into a local prostitution ring, for earning money. Due to the curse of the girl, men could get sex from her, but, she enjoyed it and felt real love only when making out with a woman.

Prostitution led Maria to a neighbouring African country, where her immoral lifestyle seemed only to worsen. However, resources disappeared as readily as they arrived. After several years of frustration, she decided it was time to return to Nigeria.

Maria tried to get in touch with some of her former male friends, but all of them were married, with kids, and even laughed at her. However, all of them, independently, advised her to seek assistance at the SCOAN.

Making up her mind to visit the church based in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, her resolve was immediately followed by a terrible nightmare.

"That half-naked woman came to me in the dream and said, 'Look – you think you can leave me! Go and pick up a knife and kill yourself'."

Upon waking, Maria immediately packed her bags and left for Lagos.

After the 'deliverance', Maria testified to a total transformation.

"I no longer have affection for women. When I see any woman, I don't feel it again – I see you as a sister or as my mother. I am seeing myself now as a woman that will settle with a man".

Advising people, the former lesbian told the congregation: "This lesbian spirit is a very stubborn spirit – it takes the grace of God for it to leave you".

Google's lightweight image format makes YouTube pages load 10 percent faster

We all want the internet to be faster, right? Well, Google is hoping to make that happen one YouTube thumbnail at a time. Its leaner WebP image format has been used on the Play store for some time now, and Mountain View's latest venue for the faster-loading files its video service. The outfit says that the switch has resulted in up to 10 percent speedier page-loads, and overall it's shaved tens of terabytes off its internal data transfer rates every day. The Chromium Blog says that this should help lower bandwidth usage for users as it rolls out, and, what's more, that there's a test-version of WebP running in Chrome's beta channel that's faster yet. How much so? It drops image decode speeds by 25 percent. If that means faster access to super hero videos and pictures of lazy dogs, sign us up.

17 killed as Boko Haram bombs market in Borno

At least 17 people have been killed by an explosion in a village market in Borno State in an attack blamed on Boko Haram Islamists, a local police chief said on Sunday.

The deadly blast struck a busy marketplace late on Thursday in the remote village of Nguro-Soye, injuring many more, said police chief Lawan Tanko.

News on the attack was slow to emerge after insurgents destroyed nearby telecom towers, shutting down communications in the area.

"An explosion in the market in Nguro-Soye killed 17 people," Tanko told AFP, adding that police were investigating the source of the explosion.

"The attack on Nguro-Soye, as in previous attacks, is the handiwork of Boko Haram insurgents."

Residents who fled the village to the state capital Maiduguri put the death toll at nearly 30, and said more people were hurt.

"They (attackers) fired RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) on the market and opened fire, killing 29 people," said local trader Hamisu Ibrahim.

"Many people were injured in the attack and the stampede that followed," said Ibrahim.

Nguro-Soye lies close to the town of Bama where 60 people were killed last month in coordinated bomb and gun attacks by Boko Haram that burnt half the town.

Deadly attacks blamed on the sect have intensified since the turn of the year, making it one of the bloodiest since the insurgency began in 2009.

So far in 2014 some 700 people have been killed in more than 40 incidents, according to Human Rights Watch.

"There is an ongoing military operation in the area (Borno) against the group and the attack was likely in frustration over their losses," Tanko said.

"It is not established whether the attack explosion at the market which killed 17 people was as a result of planted IED (improvised explosive device) or RPG."
Tens of thousands have fled for their lives in the restive northeast of Nigeria, either in fear of further attacks or after militants razed their homes and businesses.

A wave of attacks on education targets, including the slaughter of boarding school students in their beds while they slept, has prompted international condemnation.

Authorities in Borno state have shut indefinitely all public secondary schools after 43 students were shot and hacked to death by suspected Boko Haram gunmen last month.

Biola Ige, Muna Obiekwe x-rated picture update: I don’t remember sucking Biola’s … – Muna

Nollywood actress, Biola Ige, and Enugu-based actor, Muna Obiekewe, have not been resting easy since a picture, portraying the two Thespians allegedly smooching, with Muna sucking Biola's boobs went viral online.

Biola talked to me last week to explain her position, claiming that, what appeared in the picture must have been a trick of photoshop because, according to her, the scene never took place, during, before or after shooting of the film 'Pregnant Hawkers'.

Now, Muna, based in Enugu, has opened up on the matter. It was quite hard, getting the fair-skinned actor to talk as he brusquely told me he doesn't grant interviews, challenging me to bring any interview he has granted before.

I told him there is always a first time and the line went dead only for him to call back the next day to say, indeed, there is always a first time to everything in life. Here is our conversation:

Are you aware there is an x-rated picture of you and Biola Ige all over the internet, both of you partially naked, with you, sucking her boobs?

I was made aware of it. I don't remember the movie. I also don't remember sucking Biola's breasts. If the movie exists, that scene never took place.

The film is 'Pregnant Hawkers' and were you and Biola Ige involved in any sensual scene where you were both nude, making love, real and unreal?

Like I told you, I don't recall the movie. I do a lot of movies and I can't remember what happens in all of them. The fact that I don't recall means that the movie was shot a long time ago. Probably three or more years back. when love scene  was in vogue with producers. I'm still searching for the movie to acquaint myself with the story.

There has never been anything between myself and any actress that I've made a movie with. My romantic relationships have always been outside the movie industry. I don't take my work home.

But you seem to have the knack for romantic scenes. Why?

Love making scenes are normal in movies. When we   see them in foreign movies it's nothing. But when it's done here, people start questioning actors morality.

Bear in mind that these scenes are not shot the way it's finally seen when the movie comes out. Nothing ever actually happens. Not with about ten people in the production crew in the room with you.

I want to add that the aim in making movies is to enlighten people. You want them to see exactly what's happening in the world around them. You want them shocked into action against whatever it is you're trying to portray. Avoiding to touch, the sensibilities of people only result in those things you want seen and treated, ignored. In that regard, I try to make my acting as real as possible without actually doing something wrong.

How do you feel being labelled a porn star, because some people feel that is what you are actually becoming in the industry

I'm not a porn star and I never will be. Love making scenes are sometimes inclusive in a movie and should be done with class. Sometimes editors and directors don't edit or direct well and it comes out wrong. Will you call any of the American or British movie stars a porn star?

As a top brand in Nollywood and as a sex symbol: how do you handle advances from women?

I avoid them. And please, I'm not a sex symbol. I've done two hundred movies, out of which only about ten of them have anything concerning sex. Why are people concentrating on those? An actor, before he can be acknowledged as one, has to play quite a number of roles in his career.
