Chibok Girls: We Can’t Give Up Now – Alicia Keys (Read)
"Putting the spotlight on these girls is very, very important to me and I thought that it is my job to help shine the light on what is going on and show people: this is still happening and we must not forget and it is going on for six months."
"Six months and nobody is back and the girls are just there because of the need of education and they are abducted? So that is why we must say that we are not allowing this to dissipate, no, we are going to continue to say we are not standing for this, it is not okay," she said.
Atlast Lagos ‘Bird Woman’ Dies In Hospital
PUNCH Metro learnt that the woman, who was badly burnt, was accused of transforming from a bird into a human being.
Some eyewitnesses claimed the woman had fallen as a 'bird' from the cable, and confessed to have some metaphysical powers.
Although policemen from the Mushin Division, Olosan were later said to have taken the woman away, she was already
unconscious before arriving at the
hospital.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming her death, said the woman's corpse had been deposited at a morgue.
He said, "Eyewitnesses said there was a bird which fell down and turned into a woman. So, a large crowd gathered round her. She was not attacked. Eventually, when the police got there, they rescued the
woman from the surging crowd. But
unfortunately, she died, and her body has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital's morgue."
When our correspondent visited the area, a policeman at the junction said the woman was coming from the Agbado Ijaiye area of Lagos, and heading for her husband's residence in Mushin.
It was learnt from eyewitnesses that a bird had been seen flying around the area, and had hit a high tension cable and landed on the ground.
One Mr. Sowoloa, who claimed to be an eyewitness, said the passersby formed a crowd around the bird which reportedly turned into a woman, and busied themselves with taking her photographs.
He said, "It was at 12 in the afternoon. I was also at the bus stop with friends. We saw one of the birds hit a high-tension cable. It shrieked and landed on the
ground. Before we took any notice, it was a badly burnt woman we saw.
"It is unbelievable but it is true. When we spoke to the woman, she claimed to have some magical powers, and had killed several people. She added that she was
returning to her husband's house in
Mushin before the incident. So, some people started taking her photographs."
Charly Boy Throw Shots At Nigerian Pastors
He is not a man that hides his feelings and is known for his down to earth and frank talk, and this time, in one of his now notorious write-ups, the Area Fada turns his attention to Nigerian pastors who fall easily into temptation, who according to him, sleep with their female church members, break marriages and turn the Bible upside down to suit their slimy nature..
He titled the write-up The Bloody Randy Men of God.
This is the Area Fada in his element:
How can a man of God 'fall so easily into temptation?' Are they not supposed to be on a higher moral ground than simpletons like us? These predatory pastors love to prey on their victims.
It is a preplanned, master manipulative, controlling, calculated decision. Sadly, most congregations are aware about the bull-crap going on in their church. But like the dumb ignorant Naijas we are, corrupted by fear and the uncertainty of tomorrow, we look the other way. Oh God!
Yes, I don come again, but pray tell. Would you allow your bank teller who is known for pinching customers' money, still handle your money? So why should we allow some of our morally bank-cropped Pastor to still remain in the pulpit yarning akpata, counseling our women and children. End times abi?
Many of these Pastors will follow their sensuality, na today, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit their congregation with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 2 Peter 2:2. ( e dey bible go read am).
I know that Nigerians have become very gullible when it comes to their pastors, our environment has gone to the dogs because we have become zombies, the same with our leaders. Why must we be hesitant to confront people who claim to be 'men of God'? They use this as an advantage and exploit people's situation and problems when they go for help. Chaiiii there is God oooooo.
Scandals can be found in any group, Politicians/Christians, sadly, but among Pentecostals and Charismatics who claim a special anointing of the Spirit of God, casting, binding, chasing demons who have suddenly invaded Naija. They claim double blessings and triple anointing and super Spirit baptisms. They claim to operate in the Spirit and flow in the Spirit and talk in the Spirit and prophesy in the Spirit and laugh in the Spirit and soak in the Spirit and even get drunk in the Spirit.
Not all Pentecostal or Charismatic churches live scandalous lives; however the Pentecostal movement has been absolutely rife with moral and doctrinal scandals and ridiculous claims among its prominent leaders. So brethren, your man of God is not God himself.
There should be a lot of soul searching in this our fetish movement right now, because of the spectacle of highly successful preachers losing their way. There's a saying, your anointing can take you to a place where your character cannot sustain you. You Randy preacher man, stay with me, because next week, I will name some very randy pastors parading as men of God. Tufiakwa.

Renowned singer-photographer who has been married to hubby, Kashetu Bello, for nine years now, has put to bed in the United States of America.
She delivered a set of twin boys, whom have already been named Christian and Christopher, on Saturday, whoop!

Her best friend Rita Springer confirmed the News saying "These two were born today (Saturday) and they are going to change their Nation, I can feel it"
The best part is, while awaiting her EDD a few weeks ago, she posted photos of different adorable babies on her instagram page with this caption:
"I love photographing babies, yet nothing terrifies me more. Tell me I'm photographing the queen of England tomorrow and I'll be fine. I'll go to sleep , knowing that ' Hey ,she's human! As long as that remains true,I'll break-in , Break-through or Break -her-down… Some how…I'm always up for a challenge … Especially when I'm told someone is 'difficult' . I've been blessed to photograph countless world leaders, international celebrities and people I've only dreamt I'll get a glimpse of and always did just fine. Tell me, I'm shooting a baby or child aged 3months to 2 years and I'm immediately humbled. Torture me by letting me know 2 weeks in advance and I won't be able to stop thinking about it. With babies and toddlers, I'm not doing all that fancy breaking-them-down or nothing.! They're are THE BOSS.
Breaking YOU down. You learn to stoop and see where they'll take you.., but ooooh …nothing can be more rewarding than when they gift you with their essence. To curb my 'respect' for these folks.. I throw myself in the deep end by creatively photographing a crèche and nursery every year. nothing cures you faster than trying to create magic with not one but one hundred screaming babies and toddlers.Nothing will make you question your reason for existing yet give you greater meaning for your being alive…the 'greater meaning 'part starts only after you gather up courage to look at your contact sheets on your screen about two weeks after your 'beautifully' life altering experience . Babies rule supreme. #tybellophotography #photostories #babies"

"There are lots of ‘wannabes’ in the industry" – Popular Naija Comedian Okey Bakassi
Read below...
I mean there are lots of 'wannabes' in the industry. It is not only restricted to comedy alone, it is in music and other aspects of the entertainment industry. They are people who notice that the business can fetch them money and they decide to do it because of that reason. They may have the talent but they don't have the work ethics to sustain their career. They come into the business and feel they can live off other people's materials. It can only last for a while and then they fizzle out.
On how much he charges then and now....
We were begging to work back then but today people call to say they need our services. That is the difference and it is a whole lot. Back then, I used to beg and say "sir I can do this, just give me a chance" and the person would tell me "what is stand-up comedy, it is a serious event and there is no time for jokes." With hesitation, they would say I should do what I can and if they have anything they would give me after the event. I do my work, impress them and they give me stipend for transport and that was how it was
.
From there another person could call saying they saw what I did at the event and when we talked about price, they could say it was too expensive and that they do not really need my service, then I asked them to give me whatever they could give me. But today, people call and I say I want to be paid N2.5m and they agree.

Reason I took a break from Music – M.I
On his long absence from the music industry
Chairman is a song I released last year, and the next day after I released the song, a couple of changes started happening in the label.First was my brother(Jesse Jagz) wanting to leave which I didn't know about ,we discussed it and I understood where he was going with that. But, it just sort of changed the dynamic of the label, and what happens with music is that ,when you are producing music and relying on people, when that changes you might need some time to reassess and come back.So I was supposed to put out my album last year, but it was a good opportunity for me to re-access and be like this is what I want to do going forward...
Also last year after putting out the chairman song ,all sorts of opportunities came up and I was so busy last year .I was travelling , all over the place and didn't have time to record
But this year, we made a conscious decision with my management that M.I is not going to do anything until this album is done .
On Saying he was quitting Music
We did it twice, you know King James.I released this ambiguous statement that I'm done.I'm sorry.I just wanted to get their attention .I mean, election season is around the corner and i wanted to put out these images that will tell young people before they start advertising to you, have in mind the sort of leader you want
"I'm not the prettiest"- Actress Juliet Ibrahim on being crowned 'Most Beautiful Woman in West Africa'
Who said so? I'm not the prettiest; there was some kind of nomination like that 'Most Beautiful Woman in West Africa'. I woke up one morning and I saw that thing and I was happy about it, I was like "ah, so I'm the hottest and prettiest West African woman" It felt great that somebody could actually just sit down and among so many other women in Nollywood and Ghana movie industry, chose me as the prettiest.
It's not easy because I'm a mom as well. Keeping in shape has been hard. It must go beyond the looks and my figure, I guess my soul, my humanitarian works and things I do made me beautiful in their eyes.

Synagogue Tragedy: Tourist Visits to Nigeria Plummet
According to a statement issued by the Airport Car Hire Association of Nigeria (ACHAN) of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, and signed by the chairman, Summonu Oseni, business slowed down immediately after the building collapsed and has not picked up as foreign visitors have dramatically reduced.
"The incident does not affect The SCOAN alone but also Nigeria's economy," the statement said. "What happened is a big blow to the economy of the nation, most especially, the airport as most of the tourists to Nigeria are coming to visit The SCOAN. I mean, six out of every 10 tourists come to Nigeria to visit the Synagogue Church."
He described Synagogue as a positive 'brand' for Nigeria.
"The SCOAN is a big brand for Nigeria and a lot of revenues are generated by those involved in the tourism chain, especially members of ACHAN, who provide nothing less than 35 buses and equally a large number of small vehicles to move these visitors on a daily basis."
According to the statement, Nigeria should encourage the 'SCOAN brand' and not carry out malicious campaigns of calumny founded on unsubstantiated information about it.
"We pray that this will not annoy the pastor and founder of the church, Prophet T.B. Joshua to relocate to another country, as other countries would like to have a man like him, who would boost tourism for their nation."
According to PM News, airlines are also feeling the economic impact of the incident. An airline operator said that airlines such as South African Airways, Arik Air, Aero Contractors, Air France and Lufthansa Airways incurred the biggest losses from the reduction in spiritual tourists to The SCOAN.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Joshua had already declared his intention to visit South Africa on a monthly basis "to meet people from South Africa and other nations who find South Africa easier to
visit, in memory of martyrs of faith".

Pastor Okotie lacks Moral Right to question Oritsejafor —CAN
The association was reacting to the demand by Okotie that its President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, should resign over the alleged involvement of his aircraft in the controversial $9.3m smuggled into South Africa by two Nigerians and an Israeli.
Okotie, had in a statement posted on his church's Facebook page, said "Considering the collateral damage Pastor Ayo's close relationship with the President has done to the Christian community, it is fit and proper for the Pastor to resign immediately as CAN President to salvage what remains of the battered image of the association.
"This is without prejudice to the on-going investigation on the matter. Denials of his culpability by the Federal Government, CAN officials and his own recent defense, does nothing to reduce the moral burden this whole saga places on his shoulders. As the titular leader of Christians in Nigeria, there's now a serious crisis of confidence on his leadership and he ought to respond to it by resigning from his exalted position."
But reaction to Okotie's statement, the Director of National Issues in CAN, Sunny Oibe, said:
"Is Chris Okotie a Christian? How many wives has he? He should go and sort out himself. Even the government has exonerated Pastor Ayo of all the allegations. So, who is Okotie? Well, it is laughable if Chris Okotie should demand that Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor should resign as President of CAN.
"Chris Okotie should remove the log in his eyes before he begins to see a peck in somebody's eyes. Pastor Ayo had a soaring integrity before he was elected the President of CAN. Who elected Chris Okotie to become the spokesperson of Christians in Nigeria?
"CAN will not like to join issues with Okotie because doing that will amount to making him popular. He is looking for popularity which he doesn't have through Pastor Ayo and he is not going to get it."
He told Punch that Pastor Okotie was merely looking for cheap popularity through Pastor Oritsejafor.

“I Have Autographed So Many B00bs” – Sir Shina Peters
"On stage I do a lot of crazy things so if a male fan appreciates me with crisps naira notes it is no big deal because I have also done a lot for them. I am very close to my male fans to the extent that we relate as one family.
"My female fans love me and that does not mean that I take advantage of them. I know that indeed they love me because they have done lots of crazy things to me."
"They have done a lot of crazy things to me but that does not mean we are bed-mates. Women love me so much because I am an artiste that fights for women's rights."
Let's know one crazy thing a female fan has done to you?
Hmmm, I have autographed so many b00bs. When you wake up on the day of the show, what do you normally do?
That depends on my mood. I don't do anything special. I may either eat or not. However, I could be going for a show and see a corn seller and ask my driver to park so I could buy and eat. But one important thing I do is that I don't listen to any music on the day of a show because I don't want to be influenced by any other music including mine; that helps me to stay focused.
You're quite energetic on stage. Do you take any stimulants?
No, I have never smoked or taken any stimulant in my entire life. Though I drink beer, I don't take energy boosters. All the action you see on the stage is natural because I enjoy what I do.
Nigerian Female Celebs are Horrible at Choosing Men- Etcetera
And when it fails, of course, it becomes his fault for being who he always was. Even if the guy you married was the most disgusting pig in the whole universe, you should admit that lowering your standards so severely was your choice.
Every divorce is built on those things that were created during courtship.
It is during this time that the future of a marriage is decided. If you don't have the ability to analyse what was injected into your brain during those few critical years or months of courtship, then whatever happens in your marriage is your funeral, not ours.
Must all celebrities publicly play the blame game at the end of their marriages, assigning blames like football fans after a bad match day? Must they turn their divorces into a bride versus groom contest with their fans taking sides? Trust the Nigerian press and bloggers who are ever too quick to join the accusation bandwagon to exonerate their preferred spouse without proper investigation.
I wonder why Naija Bet hasn't thought of adding a slot on their platform for forecasting the longevity of celebrity marriages in Nigeria. It is much easier to predict how long a Nigerian celebrity marriage will last these days than the scoreline of a Chelsea FC versus Arsenal FC match.
When you get right down to the root of most celebrity divorces, you will discover it all boils down to one simple conclusion to which most females adhere: their men are always at fault. The guilt and punishment are simply assigned to whoever happens to have the penis. Haven't you all redefined coincidence, with all your husbands accused of domestic violence?
Where are the pictorial evidences to back up your accusations? Have all Nigerian men all of a sudden become monsters? Most female celebs now seem to be focused on exposing their husbands or catching them red-handed? Not knowing that the more they take that route, the more convinced they become that their husbands are really cheating.
The language of most journalists and bloggers (infidelity experts) out there centres on one theme: "catch, prove and divorce". Yes your husband erred, but why let the world know? Does his trial at the public court make you feel good? Do you feel any more righteous by making him the villain and you the good guy?
Stop acting like your secrets are finally out; everyone knows that your partner didn't just start having an affair. It is the obvious truth that most celebrity marriages are built on adultery, and whatever adultery joins together, adultery shall put asunder. Your emotions wouldn't be in turmoil today if you had listened to your gut feelings yesterday. But my dear, before you decide to take the road of divorce to wherever it may lead, you must first consider the real cost of going that route.
This is because If you choose to get a divorce without knowing the real reason your husband cheated on you in the first place, you'd just be circling around the same problem instead of fixing it and preventing it from happening in the future. Put your emotions aside for a moment and ask yourself, why on earth would your husband fall into the arms of another woman when he has a caring, compassionate and loving woman at home?
Ask yourself where you went wrong. Maybe the reason you had a cheating husband was because he had a set of needs that you were unable to fulfill because of your gallivanting lifestyle as a celebrity. The blame often starts within the walls of your mind and results in you holding him responsible for the collapse of the marriage. At this point, nothing he says could ever provide an adequate answer, but you just keep asking the same questions over and over again. People should also know that in most celebrity divorces, not all blames come from within.
Some of the most painful and damaging blames come from people outside the marriage, who feel they need to pass judgments. To the press and bloggers having a swell time with every celebrity divorce, I hope you know that it's very easy to lay blames when you're on the sidelines. You are acting like a spectator at a football match with a bird's-eye view of all the action, while those playing on the field get consumed by the waves of emotions that accompany their divorce.
To our female celebrities, whenever you find yourself wanting to lay those blames, please relax for a moment and think about the appropriateness of the blames. Think about the consequences of your accusations. Try to examine the situation from multiple viewpoints.
And to you husbands who are being blamed, especially after you have cheated or been mistaken to have cheated, please understand that your women are lashing out because of their fears and insecurities. And as a man, there is a great level of maturity in accepting responsibility for your behaviour and taking the blame for your actions. Divorce is a winless game that is best not played. In Onyeka Onwenu's voice, may there be peace in our homes. Amen.

Actor Emeka Ike Reveals Names Of Movie Producers that Sleep With Actresses For Roles
The Nollywood actor, who had marital challenges earlier this year has made it known in a recent interview how sad he is with the modus operandi of the Actors' Guild of Nigeria. He made it known that the Ibinabo Fiberesima-led tenure which is still ongoing can only be compared to the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah, where producers sleep with actresses to give them role while they practice homosexuality with the males.
PulseNG made it known that while addressing newsmen at the 2nd edition of the City People's Political Award held recently in Lagos, the Imo State born actor, revealed that the Nollywood is full of decays which must not be transferred to the next set of fresh generation that will opt in their career.
The actor who is seen as a controversial one because of his straight forward reactions on issues that bother round the film industry in Nigeria has been involved in a running battle with the body since he declared his intention to lead the guild, and believes he is the only one who can rescue what he calls a dying movie industry.
Emeka went on to mention names of people who he feels are 'ruining' the tune of events in the Nigeria movie industry. He was quoted saying:
"There are five people who have taken the laws of Nigerian movie industry into their hands. They are Emma Ogugua, Murphy Stephen, Sunny McDon, Okey Bakassi and Ifeanyi Dikeh. These five people registered Actors Guild of Nigeria as their personal business. No other individual can come in.
My first concern is to clean up Nollywood, clean up AGN. Every Nigerian youth want to act movies now, what future are we leaving for them? Where are they going to write their names?
The two bedroom in Surulere where they would ask you to come and grace their beds before they give you roles? Where they would make you join a gay group or lesbian group before they talk to you?
Nollywood has gotten so bad that you must either strip and grace their beds or join the gay or lesbian group to belong.
The people at the helm of affairs are the ones killing Nollywood. Some of us the well-known actors don't even know their rights. I dare say it again, they don't. Nobody can come out to challenge me.
We built this industry with pain. Those who are at the helm of affairs now, people don't even know them in the movies. They just came in and messed everything up.
Ibinabo has been acting as the president of AGN for years now, but with her case as an ex-convict, do you have any moral justification to recognize her as the president? The court case is still on and the war continues.
That wasn't the industry I founded. My daughter will not to go into that industry tomorrow and they would say she must sleep with one of them to get a role. Neither would my son be a part of Nollywood that is full of immoralities."
