the 10th anniversary of Kwani Trust and also the launch of
her latest novel 'Americanah'.
Standing as the guest speaker for the anniversary,
Chimamanda will give a lecture on Africa, its 50 years of
literature and the place of contemporary writing. She will
also throw more light on African writers since she is
regarded as 'the most prominent' of young anglophone
authors who has succeeded in attracting a new generation of
readers to African literature.
After the 10th Year Anniversary Benefit Gala anniversary
hosted at Westhouse on Friday, the writer will launch her
latest novel 'Americanah' at National Museum on Saturday,
November 29. She will be joined by another Kenyan
writer, Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor.
