The newly-married star launched into a tirade against the media and against the way, he said, people 'look at him' at the event in Finsbury Park.
Wearing a mask, he said:
"I'm not particularly angry but they've taken the idea of celebrity and tried to make me seem like I'm stupid or something.
"People keep looking at me like I got a problem or something, like I'm not doing something I'm meant to.
"The lies, the media, they want to make you feel like you're less to them in their eye."
His comments on Friday night come just weeks after West and his new wife Kim Kardashian had their wedding filmed by the channel which broadcasts her reality TV show.
Since then, there have been contradictory reports that the pictures of his wedding were for sale.
The rapper, who played hits including Gold Digger and Stronger, also attacked fashion brands Nike and Louis Vuitton.
In 2013, he ended a long-running partnership with Nike to sign a deal with rival Adidas for a reported $10m (£6m).
He continued:
"Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black
man or a celebrity. "I'm not going to mention Nike or say names but if you're creative, want to create more, this is exactly what I'm talking
about. They say, 'No no no ******, that's too much'.
"It's about my dreams, it's about creating, not about the idea of being a ******* celebrity.
"That wasn't my fault about Nike they tried to control me. I just want to make something awesome, hang around my awesome friends and save the world.
"A lot of people don't realise they own power, they own connection. They say, 'How can Kanye go down his whole career and say so much vile ****?' It's because I got the Clique,"
he said before performing his track, Clique.
The rapper later showed a softer side when he mentioned his wife's name several times as he performed his track Runaway/If You Love Someone Tonight, which failed to make the UK top 40.
Others who played the festival included Pharrell Williams, Tinie Tempah, Iggy Azalea and Basement Jaxx.
Shortly after the gig ended there was also chaos around Finsbury Park Tube station which had been closed for planned maintenance works.
