How a Popular Nollywood Actor, Left Acting For 13 Year To Sell Pants & Bra In Saudi


Popular Yoruba Actor who usually plays comic roles.  He is one of the actors rocking the industry in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State with the likes of Muyiwa Ademola and the rest.

He has produced and featured in many exciting movies  including Ise-Imole, Afurugbin and many others. Okunu started acting right from his primary school and one of his teachers was said to have predicted his journey into the make believe industry.

He made acting a profession in 1984, but fortunately or unfortunately, he left the industry to Saudi Arabia for greener pasture where he sold clothes, Shoes, Bra and other fashion accessories for 13 unbroken years before Muyiwa Ademola invited him back into acting in 2007.

According to a reliable source, Okunu was into buying and selling fashion accessaries and sold cloths, bra, shoes and every other commodities.  During that period, he would visit Nigeria once in a while for acting and go back to Saudi Arabia immediately.

 The source further told us that the actor has been acting since 1984 and he produced his first movie, Ise-Imole in 2007 after he returned fully, to Nigeria. Having been in the industry for a while,the film that gave him the break-through was Afurugbin which he produced in 2010, but Ayekoto, written and produced by Sarafa Olabode gave him the fame.
