US mixtape giant DJ Drama is reportedly working with
four East African artistes including Prezzo, Madtraxx in a
soon to be released mixtape.
Speaking to Wordis, the 35-year-old singer said he chose to
work with the two Kenyan artistes because they stand out 'I
was personally very pleased by the two artiste's lyrical and
vocal power and I was like 'let's have them on board'. I
have also come across a few Kenyan DJs who have proved
to be so much fun to work with. However, I am yet to
decide on who I would like to work with in future. I love
Kenya, more so because my President Barack Obama has
his roots right here. It's pretty awesome' he said.
Other East African artistes on the mixtape will be Uganda's
Klear Kut members Navio and JB.
DJ Drama is best known for hosting mixtapes, most notably
his successful 'Gangsta Grillz' series.
He has released four albums including 'Gangsta Grillz:
The Album' (2007), 'Gangsta Grillz: The Album Vol.
2' (2009), 'Third Power' (2011) 'Quality Street
Music' (2012) and also worked with almost every US
rapper including Lil Wayne, Llyod Banks, Meek Mill,
T.I, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy and many more.
