After a series of nominations, selection of finalists, jungle
camping and screening; the winner of 'Face of Nairobi'
2013 will be announced on Saturday, November 30 at the
Pride Inn Hotel, Westlands.
In a bid to immerse the young models in the Kenyan
culture, the 12 finalists were housed in Muteleu Maasai
Traditional Village for a three-day boot-camp between
Friday, November 1 and Sunday, November 3. They were
also engaged in a Breast Cancer Awareness
Campaign dubbed 'Save the Boobies'.
The pageant which aims at nurturing young beauties and
building the brains of models in the county kicked off
auditions in August with 39 contestants who were
shortlisted to 12. The finalists are to undergo one-month
training in the month of November and after which a
queen will be selected as Nairobi's goodwill ambassador
2013.
One of the 12 will be announced winner at Westlands in a
grand finale anchored by Pinky Ghelani.
Judges for the night are Kenya's ex-beauty queens/king,
Shamim Abdul, Susan Anyango and Odado Okello.
The event will also see performances by Jazz Maestro
Joseph Hellon and Band with DJ Pierra Makena on the
wheels.
