Drake is one of two black superstars (the other being comedian Kevin Hart) chosen to front VIBE magazine's race issue, which hits newsstands in January. Looking defiant in a tight close-up on the bold cover, Drizzy opens up about racism in America as well as Kanye West and his (non-existent) competition (Kendrick Lamar).
"The racism I experienced was being Jewish," Drizzy explains in the accompanying interview. "Jewish kids didn't understand how I could be black and Jewish… it was just stupid, annoying rich kids that were close-minded and
mean."
He's just as frank when evaluating the rest of the rap game,
naming Kanye West as his only competition: "My competition is nobody else, by the way. It's just me and 'Ye." Take that Kendrick Lamar.
Ouch!!!!
