Genevieve Nnaji has signed an endorsement deal with telecommunications company Etisalat Nigeria.
The Nollywood actress is said to have begun talks with the company weeks ago and has concluded the deal which will see her act as an ambassador for the brand.
Genny posted a photo of herself and British Nigerian actor Hakeem Kae Kazim on her Instagram page with the caption '#etisalat #goinggreen'.
A few minutes later, Etisalat confirmed the signing, adding a subliminal shot to a rival brand(s). 'We officially welcome @GenevieveNnaji1 as an Etisalat Ambassador for the #Easyflex. We do quality not quantity'.
No word on how much the actress was paid. Nnaji, according to the telecoms company is an ambassador for one of their brands Etisalat EasyFlex – a product with targets only high value customers. That explains why the youth-eccentric company chose the actress, who is one of the most scarce commodities in Nollywood.
The movie star is expected to feature in the brand's campaigns and activations along with another EasyFlex ambassador Hakeem Kae Kazim. Source gathered that the pair will feature in a soon-to-be-released TVC.
The 34-year-old joins the likes of rappers Ice Prince, Olamide, Sasha and singer Seyi Shay who now call Etisalat home.
