Why PDP Members Were Almost Trading Blows With APC At The House of Reps Meeting

The House of Representatives chamber was thrown into confusion, as minority leader Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (APC) referred to the Deputy House Leader, Hon. Ogor Leonard Okuweh (PDP), as 'Deputy Minority Leader,' on January 21, 2014, Tuesday.

The remark has been made during a debate on the disruption of a peaceful rally in Rivers State, where a Senator was allegedly shot.

The lower chamber was still rowdy at the time of filing this report, as members of PDP have risen to kick against that and rushed to Gbajabiamila's seat, while APC lawmakers have also risen to his defence.

When order was eventually restored, the Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal cautioned the lawmakers to use their mandates in the interest of Nigerians.

More detail later.
