ONITSHA — The grand son and driver of a 90-year-old
woman, Mrs. Madueke, who was abducted by gunmen
suspected to be ransom kidnappers are now being grilled by
men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in Awkuzu in
connection with the kidnap.

payment.

Gunmen abducted Madueke in her home about eight days ago
and demanded N50 million ransom as a condition for her

family and the kidnappers, they agreed on an unspecified
amount of ransom which was paid to them before they
released her early yesterday.

A close associate of the family, Chief G. U. Okeke who is
also a native of Adazi-Ani, said in a telephone chat,
yesterday, that the ransom was taken to the kidnappers
somewhere in Nsukka,Enugu State, as they dictated, while

Government Area of Anambra State, from where the family
picked her up.
