In February 2013, it was reported that she was first arrested and detained for allegedly stealing a bunch of master keys in Shomolu area of Lagos and was subsequently sent to Kirikiri Prison. She was however released in November 2013 after the case couldn't be substantiated.
But the same lady was caught allegedly stealing
another bunch of keys this past week, according to
source findings.
Sources say she was caught trying to burgle a house
located at 16, Ibitoye Street, Magado, Lagos on
Sunday, January 12, 2014.
We're told she was arrested right after receiving the
beating of her life from residents in the area.
Meanwhile, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has
disowned the actress clearly stating that she is not a
registered member. Akilapa who up until till a few
days ago was a member of the Odunfa Caucus of
the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners
(ANTP) has been banned from featuring in any
movies.
'As AGN, we screen all our members before
registering them. So, we don't have any AGN
member with a questionable character. We learnt
that Yetunde has spiritual problem and she's not a
thief. We are praying that God should deliver her',
Yakubu Mohammed, Secretary-General of the
guild told Vanguard Newspapers.
Mohammed also added that the actress' case might
not be far from being spiritual.
