Babatunde Okungbowa OJB Jezreel attended his first official Thanksgiving Service since returning from a kidney operation in India at St. Leo's Catholic Church on the morning of Sunday, January 19, 2013.
The music producer was joined by his family including wives – Mabel, June and Korede along with their children, seven in total. A few celebrity friends were also in attendance – COSON boss Tony Okoroji, rapper Illbliss, singer Mr Kool, Jafextra and others.
The family attended the Church's second mass which started at 8:30AM and lasted for about two hours. OJB and his family were part of the 34 different families/associations called up to the pulpit for special thanksgiving.
'As you have come here to give thanks, the Lord will give you many more testimonies to share', the officiating minister prayed.
The music producer did cause a mini-frenzy as journalists and photographers walked up to where he was sitting during the Church service to take photos.
After the service, Jigga and his family were swarmed by well wishers and journalists where they shared their happiness.
'It feels great to be here, I thank God I'm alive to tell you I'm happy. I want to also thank everybody that contributed in one way or the other to my life', OJB told NET.
'It's just the grace of God, I don't know how else to put it. We're happy his alive and with us', OJB's first wife Mabel 'Mama J' Okungbowa said.
'When I first heard about the illness, I was scared but God saved him and we have to be thankful', his second wife June 'Ama' Okungbowa told NET.
'It could have been another story but that's not the story. We are here to say thank you to God', his third wife Korede 'Kokomi' Okungbowa also shared her happiness.
OJB recently revealed to NET in an exclusive interview that he is working on his autobiography 'The Celebrity Beggar', where he will detail his adult life right up to the moment he travelled to India for his Kidney transplant in August 2013.
