Another PDP Senator Dumps The Party and Joins APC

While stories are flying in the media that three senators are
contemplating joining the PDP, those who want to be part of
the APC are not contemplating, they are taking action and
damning the inherent consequences.

Senator Ahmed Hassan Barata, representing Adamawa South
in the Senate, has defected from the PDP to the APC. The
senator said he took the decision following wide consultation
with his constituents.

In a chat with Daily Trust, he said he decided to join forces
with the 11 former PDP Senators who are now in the APC to
save Nigeria and the country's democracy from the danger of
dictatorship.

His defection from the PDP is coming on heels of attempts by
Senate President David Mark to block moves by 11 former
PDP Senators to officially decamp to the APC.

Senator Barata's said he is not scared by alleged threats to
declare their seats vacant by the leadership and he will not
succumb to threat or financial inducement from PDP agents.

He stressed that the battle to rescue Nigeria from 15 years of
PDP misrule is open for all Nigerians.
