Accused Killer Texted Victim’s Father: ‘She’s Dead. I Have The Last Laugh’

Prosecutors say a Washington state man, accused of killing his girlfriend, sent text messages to her family members after allegedly strangling her.

Gabriel Galan Navarro, 20, faces first-degree murder charges in the death of Allison Leedy, also 20.

On April 12, Navarro allegedly strangled Leedy in the Renton apartment where they lived, then texted her family.

"If you are getting this you are responsible for Allison's death. You turned her against me," Navarro wrote, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Navarro also texted the woman's father, writing: "She's dead. I have the last laugh."

Prosecutors said Navarro had been aware of and angered by the young woman's plans to end their relationship and attend college in California, and was "determined to prevent Allison and her family from realizing her dreams."

Prosecutor Adrienne McCoy described the couple's three-year relationship as one characterized by "manipulation, isolation and psychological destruction," according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Police said that Navarro also called 911 and lied to a dispatcher, saying that he hadflooded his apartment with propane gas and rigged it to explode if anyone entered. He also allegedly said that he was armed with a hand gun.

Renton police responded to the apartment complex and shot a window out with bean bags in an attempt to clear the residence of any gas. Navarro surrendered a short time later.

Police told KCPQ that they believe Navarro's actions were an attempt to get officers to shoot him.

"One of our concerns… was that maybe a lot of this was an effort to get us to the point where we'd feel that to deal with the threat, we'd have to shoot him," said the spokesman, who was not identified.

After he was arrested, Navarro told police that his alternate personality, "Frost," had killed Leedy.

Easter: Ekiti Guber Candidates Sue For Peace

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has called on the people not to see the June 21 governorship election in the state as a "do-or-die" affair.

In his Easter message, the governor instead urged them to pray for peace and avoid any act capable of breaching the peace.

Mr. Fayemi, who is also the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, stressed the need for prayers for peace to reign in the state and the country at large.

In separate Easter messages, a former governor of the state and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship flag bearer in the elections, Ayo Fayose, as well as the Labour Party flag bearer, Opeyemi Bamidele, also called for prayers.

They also urged the people to shun any act of violence, and also ensure that they obtained their voters cards to enable them exercise their franchise.

7-year-old Twins Fight Off Kidnapper After Carjacking to Save Baby Brother

When these seven-year-old twins were kidnapped in their mum's car, the brave lads almost left the man at the wheel seeing double.

Luis and Lucius Lozada, who were also in the vehicle with their one-year-old baby brother, battered the carjacker until he let the boys out.

Lucius said: "I was kicking him."

Luis said: "I was hitting him with a [toy] snake."

The drama unfolded after their mum, Lucia, got the three boys into her gold Nissan Altima outside their home yesterday in San Antonio, Texas.

Lucia, who was planning to drive to church, popped back into the house for a few seconds because she had forgotten the baby's bottle.

San Antonio police chief William McManus said: "When she came back out the car was gone."

He added that the twins immediately began laying into the carjacker and screaming at him.

The officer said: "They just knew that that guy wasn't supposed to be in the car and they were beating on him."

The thief let the boys and the baby out on a street in Las Palmas, roughly 10 miles from their home.

They were reunited with their mum within hours.

She told TV reporters she had only just bought the toy snake for the lads, adding: "I didn't want to buy it for them, but I guess God knew that he was going to use it today."

The mum praised the bravery of her twins, saying: "I thank God for them that they took charge.

"Sometimes things in our lives have to happen for us to realise what we have and not to take things for granted."

The man who stole the car is thought to be in his mid-30s. Lucia said she had seen him in the neighbourhood a few times before.

I didn’t feel bad losing the Oscars — Chiwetel Ejiofor

Celebrated Nigerian-British actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor was in the country last weekend for the premiere of the blockbuster movie, adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun. Showtime Celebrity cornered the '12 Years a Slave' star, who played the lead character in the film as he talks about his involvement in the film, his Oscar nomination as well as his blossoming career.

How do you feel playing the lead role in the film adaptation of Chimamanda's "Half of a Yellow Sun," especially when you have not visited home for such a long time?

I haven't been out of the country for too long. We shot the film in Calabar  about a year and six months ago. I feel really excited about starring in the film. It is one film that I am deeply passionate about. I've known Biyi Bandele for about twenty years now. We talked often since I featured  in a short film he made some years ago.

We talked about wanting to make a film in Nigeria,  trying to combine all of the possibilities and make a large scale film in the country. My mother introduced me to Chimamanda Adichie's  book in 2007, not long after it came out. She just found it deeply affecting and very beautiful.

So, it was a perfect confluence of events when Biyi Bandele  told me he was adapting the novel for the screen and we started to plan how we could take the project out there. I was desperate to tell this story. I feel incredibly privileged, happy and delighted to be in a position right now to be presenting this film here in Nigeria.

After 'Half of A Yellow Sun' and '12 years a Slave', we hear that  you may be the villain in the next James Bond movie. How true is it?

In terms of the Bond thing, it is speculation at this point. You will be the first to know when I know. It's been a remarkable time for me this year and I am part of the experience. I have been in Nigeria making this film.

I am so passionate about it. It is so much a part of my own family history and heritage and very directly in terms of the war my grandfather experienced. I wanted to relate and express it in some ways. I think the projects I have been lucky to be involved with have been very meaningful to  me.

In  2006, you were nominated for the BAFTA Orange star  award by 2014. You have won the award. How did you feel losing out of the major one, the Oscars?

I felt fine. I felt like the film, 12 Years a Slave has been so wonderfully celebrated and it was really received in the spirit that has remained with many people across the world.

I just felt incredible joy for the film itself, winning the Academy award; for Lupita winning the Academy award; for John Ridley winning the Academy award, for all of us who were nominated for the extraordinary moment. Also, for Steve McQueen an extraordinary film maker who makes rare, special and precious films.

I felt very happy. In the end, it's always the celebration of cinema and celebration of film.

I think it is incredible in this part and extraordinary commitment from an actor. I give credit to the profession. I was happy to see him win as well and I was also thrilled for her film and thrilled for the diversity that was in the entire reward system. I think the diversity in film is good for business.

Did you find it very easy relating to the role  you played in the film?

I played Odenigbo who is a Professor in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. At the beginning of the film, he is in a relationship with Olanna, played by Thandie Newton.

He is described variously as a revolutionary, as somebody who is focused in a way on the ideas of a kind of exposed separatist to ideology in terms of how the Igbo nation met the aggression they were faced with after independence. In the course of the conflict, he learnt a lot in terms of the cost of everything.

The cost of political movement, cost of his relationship. One of the things, I loved about the film was that people were constantly learning, constantly growing and our relationship are constantly developing in the midst of conflict.

It's not that the conflict then should have overtaken every other thing that is happening and of course, that has never been the case in conflicts. People learn about each other.

They grow with each other, sometimes they fall in love with each other in the face of the wilder implications of the conflict that happen and this is a story about the beautiful book by Chimamanda Adichie with extraordinary character which is very dramatic to  me.

What is your impression about the Nigerian  actors?
We have a terrific cast. It didn't surprise me because one of the reasons I wanted to work and make film in Nigeria is because I feel there are a lot of incredible talents in Nigeria that are sometimes not totally recognised internationally.

I wanted to be part of it, at least, bringing a bit more recognition to that and so, we had the likes of Genevieve, and a number of people who are extraordinarily talented.

They have made a lot of films and are incredibly aware of the professionalism involved in the highest level of Hollywood of how to do it. I'm excited to be part of bringing a slightly broader recognition of Nigerian talents. Nollywood is recognised  throughout Africa and to get some of those people into European cinema is obviously very fine.

Are you open to working with more producers  in Nigeria?

Yes, I want to make films, harness and utilize Nigerian talents and potentials. I think there is a strong market for that overseas and that is why I was excited to make this film amongst other reasons. But I wanted to make it from here.

How Nigerian are you?

I don't know how you measure these things. I was born in London, raised in Forest Gate, South London and brought up with friends and family who were also born in the same circumstance.

I love Nigeria as well. Of course, the country is a major part of my heritage and my family that I adore. I never claimed to be 100 percent through and through Nigerian as much as I would like to, but the truth is that I'm both  and I am also proud to be British.

There is no doubt that Britain has offered me an extraordinary opportunity in my life and I wouldn't denigrate that for a second. But I am both things and I hope the internationalism of that can really contribute to something.

What's your next project?

My next project is that I want to make a new film for Triple 9, which is directed by John Helper . We will be shooting in Atlanta, Georgia during  the summer.

How were you able to manage the Nigerian accent fluently in the film?

It is not a mystery. My parents are Nigerian and Igbo. I spent a lot of time in Nigeria visiting families ever since I was a child and also, as an actor. You play with people and try to connect with those things.

Which of the Eastern states do you come from?

Enugu State.

How do you react to movies that do not portray Africans correctly?

Part of making this film is to redirect and reconstruct what I think is truthful of Africans, Nigerians, the continent and those of the diaspora. I feel it's time to move away from films that are two-dimensional African character which don't have any more place in the cinemas, quite frankly. I think the people need a lot of  times to understand the kind of post war as in second world war situation.

It's no longer your grandfather's Africa, it is a very diverse, different place than it was two generations ago. People have been slow sometimes to catch up with what Africa means and is and very specifically to me, it's just a miniature Nigeria. I found it frustrating as well.

There are people who want to come here because they are aware of this kind of misconception. The African stories are remarkable with such strong narrative drives that people would be engaged with and at the same time, learn more about Africa.

Police arrest suspected kidnapper of two children

A self acclaimed actor, Onyeke Micheal has been arrested by the detectives in Ondo state Police Command for an attempt to kidnap  two children of the same parents  in Ore area of the state.

He was paraded alongside 12 other  armed robbery suspects said to be tormenting the people of the state in recent times.

The state Commissioner of Police, Isaac Eke said the middle age actor attempted to kidnap one Yusuf Eniola, aged three years and Aisat Eniola, aged two on the 13th of this month.

Eke pointed out that the accused was found with the two children around Eco Bank, Ondo road, Ore and he could not explain satisfactorily how he came about the victims.

He said the timely intervention of the Police saved the suspect from being lynched by the mob.

But the suspect in an interview said that he was only trying to help the children to cross the road when he was apprehended.

The state Commissioner of Police explained that  eight of the armed robbers arrested were living together in a single  room apartment when they were arrested in Odo Alafia street Ondo town.

Items recovered from them include one cut- to- size single barrel, one expended cartridge, one UTC axe, one cutlass, hammer, sword, knife, army belt and a complete pair of Vigilante Group of Nigeria uniform.

The police boss said all the accused persons have confessed to be members of a gang of armed robbers terrorizing the people of Ondo town and its environs while some of the victims they had earlier robbed identified the robbers.

Two other suspects from a five-man robbery gang who invaded a house in Ibitayo Estate, Ondo have been apprehended by  men of Nigeria Police in Delta state.  Eke saidthat the two suspects, Uche Eze and Nnamdi Emeka were arrested by the police detectives who trailed them from Ondo to Delta state after invading the home of Adeyemi Olubanke at the Ibitayo estate.

He said the gang robbed the household at gunpoint and made away with a Toyota Hiace bus with registeration number,KTU 477AH belonging to St. Stephen Cathedral Church which was recovered by the Police.

Other items recovered include seven wedding rings, ten different types of handsets, one Ipad, ATM cards, wrist watches and cash of N103,000.

He said, " on interrogation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and investigation is still on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang."

The Commissioner however assured the people of the state of security of lives and property during and after the Easter period saying the command will not rest untill the state is made unhabitable for kidnappers and other crinminal elements.

Police, magistrate fight over discharge of kidnap suspects

On March 21, the presiding Magistrate, Otor-Udu Magistrate Court, Delta State, His Worship, Duku Tadafe (Mrs) erred in law when she discharged and acquitted a kidnap suspect, Mrs. Grace Obi, who was arraigned in her court with Ogbona Onu for allegedly masterminding her own kidnap and collecting N1.5 million from her husband, Mr. Jude Obi, a staff of Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, was furious over the order and took the magistrate to the cleaner. Senior Magistrate Tadafe realized her mistake and managed to get the two accused persons back to the court, March 26.

However, the police prosecutor refused to re-arraign and prosecute the matter, saying his superior had asked him to back off the trial.

Left with no other option, the magistrate nullified her March 21 order, discharging and acquitting a kidnap suspect, 33-year-old Mrs. Grace Obi and Ogbona Onu. Saturday Vanguard digs into the controversy.

In a fresh order made on April 1, Senior Magistrate Tadafe, said: "I have carefully considered my order striking out and discharging the accused persons in charge No. MUD/130/2014 and discovered that it was erroneously made as I have no jurisdiction to adjudicate on the matter as it were, as it borders on kidnapping under section 13 (2) of the Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Terrorism law , No 8 of Delta State, 2013, which is outside my jurisdiction.

"Consequently, it is my order directing the Commissioner of Police and his officers to re-arrest the accused persons and re-arraign them for the said offence of kidnapping on the same charge, having set aside my order made on the 21/3/2014," she stated.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, had in a statement, few days after the repudiated order, said the police investigated the matter and found N1.2 million out of the N1.5 million extorted from Mr. Jude Obi with the accused, while N300,000 was used to settle the kidnap gang.

Saturday Vanguard  investigation showed that Mrs. Obi and Ogbona Onu were arraigned in the court, March 21, in charge number, MUD/13C/2014, on a three-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping.

The complainant and husband of the 1st accused, Mr. Jude Obi, who wrote a letter of withdrawal to the court, dated March 14, mounted the witness box, March 21, telling the court that he had forgiven his wife and Ogbona, and did not want to prosecute the matter any further.

He said he did not want a broken home and based on his formal withdrawal of the case against the accused persons, the magistrate discharged and struck out the case.

Delta State Police Command kicked against the verdict with the Legal/Prosecution unit in a letter by T. O.B Okey, March 26, applying to the court for the record of proceedings of March 21, ostensibly to challenge the order.

The court, however, on the same day, relying on the authorities of HRH Eze Dr. Frank Adele Eke vs. Godfrey Chizieze Ogbonda (2006) 11-12 SC and Jonah Eguasie and another vs.Onyense Elele (2000) FWLR, part 10 at 1967, which gives the court power to set aside its order when is done without jurisdiction since such an order amount to nullity, set aside her March 21 order.

Her words, "Also, I have considered the inability to re-arraign the accused persons as my prosecutor, Cpl. Godwin Ovuefere, informed me that he has directive from his superior that brought the letter asking for record of proceedings of 21/3/2014 not to participate in the matter again despite the court insistence on that fateful day that he should participate.

"But he disobeyed the order of court and refused to participate in the matter because on that 26/3/2014, the accused persons were in court for the court to vacate its order made on the 21/3/2014 and order the accused persons to be remanded but the prosecutor frustrated the court by refusing to participate in the matter based on the alleged directive from the police officer that brought the letter from Asaba and there is no way the court can remand without the prosecutor," she stated.

National coordinator of the Forum for Justice and Human Rights Defence, FJHD, Mr. Oghenejabor Ikimi, whose organization conducted inquiry on the matter in conjunction with the Centre for the Vulnerable and the Underprivileged, CENTREP, following Saturday Vanguard's April 7 report said, "Our findings are that on the 24th of March, 2014, His Worship having realized the error, ordered the prosecutor, CPL Godwin Ovuefere to invite the said accused persons to court in a bid to vacate her earlier order discharging the accused persons and to re-arraign them.

"On the 26th of March, 2014, the two accused persons appeared in court in obedience to the above order, but the said prosecutor, CPL Godwin Ovuefere, declined to prosecute them on the ground that he had the orders of his superiors at the State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba not to prosecute same; thus frustrating the business of the court in respect of the said accused persons as there was no way the court could have remanded the accused persons without the prosecutor.

"On the 1st of April, 2014, His Worship, relying on the cited authorities, had no option than to formally set aside his earlier order made on 21st of March, 2014 discharging the accused persons as his earlier order was done without jurisdiction and as such, the said order was a nullity and thereafter, His Worship ordered and directed the Commissioner of Police, Delta Police Command Headquarters and his Officers to re-arrest and re-arraign the accused persons for the said offence of kidnap," he said.

According to the group, "His Worship further  directed the Assistant Chief Registrar of Court to prepare and serve the court proceedings of the day on the DPO, Ovwian Police Division and Commissioner of Police, Delta State for compliance."

Ikimi noted, "The above order was timorously served on the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Ovwian Police Division and the Commissioner of Police, Delta State on the 3rd of April, 2014."

He said, "Surprisingly, rather than comply with the above order, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, addressed a press conference castigating His Worship and indicting the State Judiciary."

His words, "In the light of the foregoing, we call on the Commissioner of Police, Delta Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba to immediately carry out the order of His Worship by re-arresting and re-arraigning the above duo in court, rather than grand standing in the public domain."

In expressing dissatisfaction over the earlier discharge and acquittal of Mrs. Obi, Aduba had said, "On March 7, 2014, a case of kidnapping of one Grace Obi 'f', aged 33yrs was reported at Area Commander's Office, Warri. Investigation into the case revealed that the kidnapped victim, Grace Obi, actually masterminded her kidnap in a bid to extort money from her husband."

"This assertion is re-enforced by the fact that out of the N1.5m paid as ransom for the release of the victim who spent three days in the custody of the phantom kidnapping gang – N1.2m was recovered from the victim herself, while N300, 000.00 was allegedly used to settle the gang for their role," he said. His words, "The kidnapped victim and a member of the gang, who were arrested, made confessional statements, giving a graphic narration of the incident.

"After several overtures made by some highly placed citizens persuading the Command to compromise the case, the Command refused to bulge mainly on the grounds that we deemed it necessary to send a clear message across on the Command's uncompromising stance on cases of kidnapping."

Don’t import war to the West – APC tells VP Sambo

The All Progressives Congress in the State of Osun has said it rejected the war intention of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, who declared in Abuja Wednesday, that the July 21 and August 9 elections in Ekiti and Osun will be 'a war' that the Peoples Democratic Party will 'fight' to regain the two states at all cost.

According to the APC, this is a sadistic declaration of war by a government, on its own people and it is also patent evidence that the PDP is the actual cause of the war Nigeria has been having in recent time, including that of Boko Haram.

In a statement released in Osogbo yesterday by the Party's Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi, the APC warned that the PDP should think twice before it imports war to the Western part of the country that has been the most peaceful area since the return of democracy.

'We reject this war proposal of the VP because it will spell disaster for the country", the APC said.

The party further cautioned that already, the Federal Government has a series of war on his hand which it has failed woefully to win. To therefore start a new war on a peaceful people in the West will be biting more than the government can chew.

"Presently, I Don’t Have Any Woman In My Life" - Harrysong

The singer in a new interview with Vanguard says he's got no woman in his life. Excerpts:

Tell us about yourself?
My name is Harrison Tare Okiri, a.k.a Harrysong, Mr. Song. I'm from Delta state, an Ijaw man and I'm the only child of my parents. I'm a singer and a song writer.

About your love life?I believe in a good relationship and I believe in love because I know it's a beautiful thing. But what I'm up to now is my music and my career. Also, I love my fans because I know they are the ones who made me what I am today. Presently, I don't have any woman in my life and I look forward to the day I will find the right woman.

How do you handle your female admirers? I try as much as I can to reciprocate a lot, because it feels good when women appreciate your songs and what you are doing. It makes your songs sell. So, personally, I make my female fans feel good with me and my music.

See 10 things all women want in bed but they are too shy to say.

Here's how you spoil it for women sometimes

1. The drama is not only about the final act. Heard of foreplay, folks? So cuddle, coddle, cozy up, caress, cootie coo…. Where's the hurry?

2. Sex is not on an ATM, on-the-tap mode….we need warming up time……unlike your little man, who's a bit of a slave!

3. You can't be a klutz with those hooks and straps. Get it right, and do be gentle…

4. While sex is fun anywhere, we like things to be organized  and as free of mess as a spontaneous  act will allow

5. For you it could be just a release, for us it's all tied up with emotions, head, and heart… so know that our responses will always be more thought through and, therefore, possibly slow. Don't get impatient… when everything gets working (read aroused), it's all yours to enjoy.

6. Size may matter to some, but what matters most is that it's happy to see us! We know when this is so, and we know when the fellow's being temperamental and bad mannered!

7. Even during love-making, we love to talk… so don't expect us to go through the motions and acrobatics in hushed silence…

8. We also like sweet nothings whispered into our ears, or shouted out loud… we sometimes fake orgasms (didn't they tell you!), but we make it appear like the real thing. Get the drift?

9. When it comes to creativity, you can't be wondering where we got our little tricks from. We don't unnecessarily stress over your digressions from routine/habit, so there…

10. Act over, and everyone can go home. Why does it have to be this way? We like a logical conclusion. A climax isn't a conclusion. Remember, there's a curtain call, and everyone's thanked!

ENIGMA: Cow And Bull Get Married In Wedding Ceremony Costing $17,000

More than 5,000 villagers turned up to watch sacred cow Ganga and Prakash get hitched during the 1 million rupee Hindu ceremony held near Indore in Madya Pradesh.

A cow and a bull have been married off in a lavish Indian wedding – costing $17,000.

The nuptials were organised by Ganga's guardian, Gopal Patwari, to save the region's harvest from a 'natural disaster'.

He said: "Natural calamities like hailstorms and heavy rain occurred in nearby areas, destroying their crops.

To prevent this from happening to our villages we organised this wedding on the advice of Sadhus and holy men.

We have been told this will maintain peace in our village."
The wedding took two months to organise and invitations were sent to 10,000 residents of three closely connected villages, encouraging them to donate what they could spare.

Most are farmers growing wheat, barley, beans and cotton and so heavily depend on a good harvest to survive. They will go on and have children who will be happy and prosperous. We expect Hindus of our village not to forget our holy cow and remember their religion.

The next generations especially should not forget. We want more weddings like this to take place in the future."

Shan George’s new title!

Shan George  is always  known to be one actress with a lot of  controversies trailing her life. If it is not about dating young guys, it is about  her recent foray into music. But this time around, it's none of the two. Rather, the fair  actress  has expressed concern  regarding the way and manner some  people are adding unnecessary titles to their names..

She expressed her disappointment on her facebook page, saying "One of the biggest trends now is to add titles to one's names. Dr, Ambassador, Chief, Engineer, High Chief, Double Chief etc.. In fact, it's so bad that those who don't have the chance to add any of the  titles  to their names  have settled for Evangelist or Pastor. Well, starting from this moment, I shall be addressed as Pastor Chief Ambassador Shan George."

Comfirmed: Paul Walker’s Brothers To Help Finish “Fast & Furious 7″ Action Scenes ( Photos )

Paul Walker's death left a question mark hanging over "Fast And Furious 7." That question mark evaporated last month when the filmmakers revealed they'll use CGI to finish the actor's missing scenes.

Now Universal has confirmed via the movie's Facebook page that Walker's two brothers, Caleb and Cody, will be involved with that process as well. The exact capacity in which they'll contribute is hazy. Regardless, the filmmakers praised the familial nature of the cast and crew saying the presence of Walker's brothers on the set paid homage to the late actor.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year away from the release of FAST AND FURIOUS 7 and this film is the most important we've ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O'Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

Production on "Fast 7″ was delayed in the wake of Walker's death last November. Director James Wan was uncertain how the movie would complete the actor's scenes, saying the character would be "retired' rather than killed off.

The day I had to slap my dad - Actor Femi Adebayo tells it all in new interview

In a recent chat with seasoned journalist, Jayne Augoye, popular Yoruba actor Femi Adebayo talked about his career and family!

Femi Adebayo's career  took a totally different dimension in 2011 when he produced a comedy flick entitled Jelili.

The film centered around the very hilarious travails of five 'village' guys who pretended to be ladies in order to vie for a catchy prize they couldn't resist in a beauty pageant.

Speaking on the success of the movie, he said "I knew people were going to like the movie, but not to the extent it got it. But so many of my colleagues never knew I could do such a movie so they seriously waited to criticize my performance but to God be the glory,  they were disappointed."

"I played the role of Jelili in my movie because I wanted fans to know how versatile I am and that there is absolutely no role I cannot interpret.

A trained lawyer, Adebayo, who also bagged a Masters degree in Law, succumbed to the trappings of super-stardom to pursue a career in the Nigerian movie industry.

The fame and goodwill notwithstanding, Adebayo still nurses a silent ambition to practice law later.
"Litigation is going nowhere.  I see my time in entertainment as God's calling, so I have to heed to the call. I would definitely go back to law at the end of the day," he notes.

At some point in his career, Adebayo has been faced with very intriguing situations where he has to star alongside his father in several movies.  So, what happens when a script requires him to either slap or beat up his father?

"Work is different from family. On the field, we are totally different. We drop being family when we are at work. This is because I see him as a senior colleague (My oga at the top), and whatever we are supposed  to do on set, we do it, and that's theatre. I once had scenes that I acted as an armed robber and went to rob my father, and I had to slap him and also had to do it well without any inhibitions," he says,  laughing.

Ever the thorough father that he is, Adebayo says his dad would scold him if he fails to interpret the role accordingly.

"If I don't play the role well, he (my father) will get upset and tell me to slap him well, saying, 'It is your work'."

He also debunks rumors that he was quitting acting to go into politics. "Acting came naturally to me. And I am grateful to God for that and that story is not true at all. I am yet to announce whether or not I am going into politics.  If I decide to go it will not be a secret. So people should wait for that time – though I believe voice of the people is the voice of God."

Photos: Jada Pinkett Smith Posts A Nude On Facebook

There's always a lively debate whenever a celebrity poses nude. While some may find nudity to be offensive and something that should be kept behind closed doors, others view the naked body as a work of art and a form of expression. One of those people who feel that way is Jada Pinkett Smith.

After baring it all in the "Nada Se Compara (Nothing Compares)" video for Salma Hayek's Don't Sell Bodies campaign against human trafficking in 2012, the actress has once again gone nude.

This week, Jada shared a black and white image of herself in the nude with her followers, which she captioned:

The human body is beauty, art, creativity, expression, a vessel for the soul, our temple and a magnificent machine. We gotta take care of it. Love on your body today. It's thee only body you got;)

LeToya Luckett Reveals Her Insecurities In Rolling Out Magazine

That auburn bob is a good look for LeToya Luckett!

The Single Ladies star is currently shining bright as the new cover girl for Rolling Out Magazine shot by celebrity photographer DeWayne Rogers!  Inside, she opens up about serious self-esteem issues that prevented her from showing off certain body parts, as well as the effects of social media on celebrities' confidence.  She also speaks on the younger generation of women who find validation in showing off their goodies on the 'gram for a few likes.

Catch a few highlights below:

On her self-image issues
I had things about myself that I [didn't] like. I [would always say] 'I wish I had this, I wish I had that.' I used to have this thing about my legs. If you look at all of the Destiny's Child albums from when I was a part of the group, you never saw me in a skirt. I was always the one who wore the pants, because I felt like my legs were too skinny.[...]You want your boobs to grow; you want all kind of things to happen," she says, with a laugh. "Eventually things fill out — and sometimes they fill out too much!"

On how being in the spotlight just makes you more aware of your imperfections
"People like to pick at your imperfections and that can be very hard on you as a person. I think a lot of times people forget that we're human beings and some of us are fighting self-esteem issues already," she continues. "I love Instagram and Twitter and I think it's awesome that fans can connect with their favorite artists, but it also gives them a chance in that comment box to say what they really feel about them. Be confident in who you are and who God made you to be. I can't pay attention to it. I'd go crazy out here."

On relationships
"I don't think I'm a control freak. Of course, you don't want to get your heart broken. But you can't control other people. If you're in a relationship, trying to control that other person — you're going to be wasting your time. I learned a long time ago that you can't control what somebody is going to do to you, but you can control how you react."

On the younger generation of women who feel like they need to show it all to get a man
"With the younger gals now, because certain things are being celebrated, they feel they have to show certain things to be appreciated or liked by men," says Luckett.

"I don't think I ever found myself being tempted to just go crazy with it. I was dealing with self-esteem issues. I didn't even wanna show my legs, let alone my butt and all of my goodies! There's a certain time for that and only this many people should be lucky to see it: You, Jesus and a couple of other folks, but not the entire world. If you're going to do it, let it mean something. Make a statement. Make it stand for something. Not just to be posing on your bathroom sink, doing a selfie with [your] stuff out!

You can catch LeToya starring alongside Taraji P. Henson in the new movie "From The Rough" when it's released on April 25.
