Why Gwen Stefani’s presence on The Voice USA threatens Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera feels threatened with the presence of Gwen Stefanie on The Voice cast list for this year's edition after she was replaced by Stefani.

The 'Your body' hit maker is taking a break from the popular series after recently giving birth to daughter, Summer with fiancé, Matthew Rutler last month but feels  very concerned abut her chances of making a return to the show next year.

A source close to the singer said: 'Christina is extremely threatened by [her temporary replacement] Gwen. She knows that if the ratings are higher on Gwen's season than they were on hers, the producers may have no choice but to ask Gwen to stay on.'

The insider added: 'Christina's in a world of paranoid right now.'

The 33-year old blonde beauty, who also has a 5-year old son, Max, with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman, is also said to be concerned about Taylor Swift's role on the show with the wave-making 24-year-old singer set to join the series as an advisor.

But another source, which spoke with OK! magazine, said Christina doesn't feel threatened due to her pedigree and experience.

'She's ready to fight for her spot,' the source said.

Up until this year, Aguilera has shared a rotating spot on the judging panel with Shakira, who is also expecting her second child.
