A few days back, Kolly Dee (Kolade Alade) emerged the winner of Timi Dakolo's singing competition, in the process earning himself a whopping $1,000 cash prize.
According to Timi Dakolo, all the fans had to do to stand a chance of winning the cash, was sing, record and upload a rendition of the 'Great Nation' chorus, a special Independence song by Timi Dakolo, with the video with highest votes on his timeline set to win the cash prize on offer.
A number of his fans got involved in the competition, with Timi's Instagram timeline awash with videos of participants and Timi later announced KollyDee as the winner earlier this week.
Kolly Dee who won the competition, just confirmed receiving his cash prize saying: 'A very big thanks to Timi Dakolo for this opportunity, just got the alert from my bank and even more thanks to all my friends and followers for liking, commenting and sharing my video, i appreciate y'all. Greater things ahead for me and every one of you…thanks again.'
The winner, 'Kolly Dee' who hails from Aramoko in Ekiti State, is a fast rising singer and student of Medicine at the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Ukraine and because he's out of the country, his money was sent to his bank account.
