"How to Become Good Actor" - Desmond Elliot

Nollywood actor/director, Desmond Elliot is no doubt one of the successful filmmakers that the Nigerian movie industry is proud to have. Desmond, who kicked-off his career in Nollywood as an actor conquered that stage with numerous movies to his credit. He went for further training and delved into film directing, which he has been combining with acting.

The popular filmmaker took to twitter few minutes ago, to drop few words of advice for up and coming actors on how to become a good actor. According to Desmond, to make a successful actor, you must first ask yourself why you want to make films, the answer and motive will reveal how successful your career will be.

"You want to be an actor? First of all ask yourself, 'Why?' Is it because of the money? If that is the reason you will fail woefully. Why do you want to be an actor? Is it because of the fame? If so, you will not go very far. But do you want to be an actor because you know you have the talent, others have told you, you have it and you have a passion/flair for it.

"If you want to be an actor, first of all go and get TRAINED. After that do a little monologue and post it on youtube. I am not saying that will get you noticed but It's a start. Then attend AUDITIONS. Every single big time actor out there, did the audition grind, trust me. Don't feel too big to attend auditions," he stated.
