Photo: Nigerian Security Agents Arrest Co-Mastermind Of The Nyanya Bombing In Sudan

About 2 days ago, the State Security Services (SSS) announced the arrest of 5 suspects allegedly responsible for the bombing at Nyanya bus park in Abuja on April14, 2014.

The agency also revealed that the co-masterminds of the attack who have been identified as Rufai Abubakar Tsiga and Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, were still on the run.

The SSS also offered a N25 million reward on their heads for anyone with useful information about where to find them.

However, reports have emerged today that one of the two men, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche (pictured above), who was a member of the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Army from 2001 – 2006, has been caught.

It was further gathered that Ogwuche was arrested in Sudan with the help of the Military Attaché to the Nigerian High Commission in Sudan, and also with the support of international security operatives.

Ogwuche is a British born Nigerian, who is a student of Arabic Language at the International University of Africa in Sudan. He deserted the Army in 2006.

During the press briefing when Ogwuche was declared wanted, SSS spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar, said he was involved in terrorist activities which led to his arrest at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Nov. 12, 2011 on arrival from the UK.

She however said he was released on bail to his father, retired Col. Agene Ogwuche on Oct. 15, 2012 following intense pressure from human rights activists, who alleged human rights violation.
