Arizona mom burns 3-year-old daughter's face with Hot Pocket: cops

An Arizona mother faces child abuse charges after she
allegedly shoved her 3-year-old daughter's face in a Hot
Pocket, causing second-degree burns, cops said.
Katia Lieutaud, 35, who is pregnant with her seventh child,
also tied socks around the child's hands to keep her from
touching the burns caused by the microwave snack on
Monday, according to KNXV-TV.
The mother initially told cops that the little girl was scorched
when a 7-year-old sibling tossed hot oatmeal on her in their
Avondale home. But when her fiancé gave a different story,
the woman confessed, the news station reported.
Lieutaud, who reportedly has a history of child abuse and
neglect, allegedly told cops that she acted out of stress from
being pregnant.
The 3-year-old girl suffered second-degree burns when
her mother shoved her daughter's face into a steaming
Hot Pocket.
